Position Summary
The Residence Life Office Assistant (OA) is a student staff position that assists with administrative tasks in the main office or within a Neighborhood Office. OAs also assist with other tasks related to Residence Life processes including but not limited to housing selection, facility room checks, and lockouts.
Position Responsibilities
- Provide high level professional customer service to Elon families, faculty and staff
- Perform office administrative tasks as requested such as answering phone calls, replying to emails, organizing documents/folders, cleaning out files/storage room areas, and other tasks as requested by professional staff.
- Assist with administrative functions of Residence Life main office and other residence offices as requested.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess a positive, energetic and professional attitude. They should be organized, responsible, self-motivated, hardworking, critical thinkers with strong verbal and written communication skills. Candidates must be trustworthy and respectful of handling confidential information. Appropriate student worker office attire for a professional office atmosphere is required. University Office and/or Residence Life student staff experience is preferred but not required.
Time Commitment and Compensation
This position requires availability between 8a.m. to 5p.m. Monday through Friday with a pay rate of $13.00/hour.
