Student Media Board Virtual Banquet

Thank you, Elon University student media.

The Elon University Student Media Board, which represents Colonnades Literary & Art Journal, Elon News Network, Elon Student Television, Limelight Records, Phi Psi Cli Yearbook and WSOE 89.3FM, was scheduled to hold its annual banquet on May 12, 2020. Sadly, the six organizations and their members couldn’t gather to celebrate their successes from the past year and to recognize some of their worthy members. So the board moved the event online.

The virtual gathering features remarks from Colin Donohue, the chair of the Media Board and the School of Communications director of student engagement and alumni relations, Amy Reitnouer Jacobs ’09, the co-founder of The Bluegrass Situation who was scheduled to deliver the banquet keynote, Dr. Jon Dooley, Elon vice president for student life, and the student leaders themselves, who will honor their members with awards.

Thank you to Elon’s student media organizations for continuing to work during their time away from Elon so that they might inform and entertain the university community. Their vibrancy and presence are still felt on campus.
