Winter/Spring Housing

This page is intended for students who DO NOT live on campus in the fall semester and want housing in the winter/spring. Examples include students who are in the Elon Global Start program, live off campus in the fall, or are studying abroad/away in the fall and want housing in the winter/spring when they return.

If you will need housing for winter and spring terms (2026) please fill out the application located on Phoenix Living. The application will be available mid-October.

Winter & Spring Housing Selection Process & Timeline
  • October 15, 2025: Winter & Spring Housing Application Opens & Deadline for Winter & Spring Housing Accommodation requests, more information can be found here.
    • NOTE: Students who are in campus housing in fall term do NOT need to reapply for winter/spring housing as their assignment will be rolled from fall to winter/spring automatically, unless they indicated otherwise on their Housing Intent Application.
  • November 24, 2025: Application deadline for winter and spring housing.
    • If you know of a specific vacancy that you would like to move into, you can list the space and roommate name on the housing application.
  • December 5, 2025: Students will be assigned on a rolling basis and will find their housing assignment no later than this date.

NOTE: Semester-only orders will open on December 1.

  • Winter Order Deadline: January 4
  • Winter Delivery Date: January 6
  • Spring Order Deadline: January 28
  • Spring Delivery Date: January 30

Spring Only Housing Timeline
  • January 1, 2026: Application deadline for spring only housing. The application can be found on the Phoenix Living website.
  • January 9, 2026: Students will be assigned and notified of their assignments for spring.

More Information
  • Assignment information will be sent out as quickly as possible for students to make plans.
  • Winter Term: We are unable to make assignments just for winter term. Winter term housing costs are built into either the fall or spring semester housing fees.
  • Lease Turnover: If you have made arrangements to take over a lease from another student, please complete the Winter/Spring Housing Application and email residencelife@elon.edu to accept this lease turnover in writing.
