Application Process and Timeline
Important Dates – 2026
- January 15-May 5: Online housing application available on Phoenix Living. Log in using your Elon email username and password.
- NOTE: If you are under 18 at the time of your application, your parent/guardian will need to complete a Parental Verification and they’ll be sent that via email after you complete the first part of the housing application.
- April 30 at noon: Medical/disability related housing accommodation requests are due, more information on this process can be found here.
- May 5: The housing application is due on Phoenix Living and students should be mutually matched with any desired roommates by this date.
- May 29: Students are notified via Elon email if they are accepted to an LLC.
- July 10: Housing assignments and roommate information available online and sent to your Elon email account
Application Directions
First, new students are assigned to living-learning communities if they are interested and space is available. Next, students who are not assigned to living-learning communities are assigned to remaining spaces, using a random process. Roommates are chosen based on indicators on the housing application.
- Students will log onto Phoenix Living (www.elon.edu/phoenixliving) using their Elon email username and password. Choose Housing Application 2026-2027 on the top menu.
- Students will acknowledge the Housing Agreement, be offered the opportunity to purchase optional renter’s insurance, and complete the general questions on the housing application.
- Students will be able to apply for a Living-Learning Community (LLC), within the Housing Application, if interested.
- Students will choose a food (meal) plan.
- At the end of the application, students can search for a roommate. The roommate will receive an email and must accept the request.
