2026-2027 Housing Selection Timeline

Housing Selection Launch:

  • Monday, December 1, 2025 – Begin completing the housing application and matching with roommates (if known)
  • Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at 4pm ET – Housing Information Session on Zoom

Housing Application Due Date:

  • Tuesday, February 10, 2026 – Housing Application Due (late applications will continue to be accepted, however, late applicants will receive later housing selection times than those who applied before the deadline)

Living Learning Communities (LLCs)

  • Sunday, February 1, 2026 – LLC Applications (located within the Housing Application) are due; submit the Housing Application indicating interest by this date
  • Thursday, February 12, 2026 – Students notified via Elon email if they are accepted to the LLC
  • Thursday, February 19, 2026 – Accepted LLC students Housing Selection Day

Housing Accommodations Requests

  • *Please review all information on these processes on the Residence Life and Office of Academic Accommodations and Accessibility websites for more details.
  • Monday, February 2, 2026 at noon – Housing Accommodations Requests DUE – for continuing, changed, and new requests (New/Changed – Must submit Housing Application AND paperwork to Academic Accommodations and Accessibility (AAA) by this date; Continuing – Must submit Housing Application by this date.
  • Friday, February 6, 2026 – Housing Accommodations decisions released by Academic Accommodations and Accessibility (AAA) via email; these include if the accommodation is approved and what type of accommodation, not the specific room/location placement
  • Rising Juniors/Seniors with Housing Accommodations are encouraged to fully participate in Housing Selection processes; if their accommodation isn’t met during those processes, they will receive a placement on February 26 and 27 during a meeting with Residence Life. Students will sign-up for these meetings via an email that will be sent on Feb. 10.
  • Rising Sophomores with Housing Accommodations can be pulled up into Junior/Senior Housing Selection Processes, or, they will receive a placement on February 26 and 27 during a meeting with Residence Life. Students will sign-up for these meetings via an email that will be sent on Feb. 10.

Rising Junior/Senior Housing Selection

  • Thursday, February 12, 2026 – Selection times for rising Juniors and Seniors for all upcoming selection process are released. Selection times are randomly assigned to all students who apply by the deadline.
  • Day 1 – Friday, February 13, 2026 – Current residents who wish to return/renew to Station at Mill Point (9am-4pm)
  • Day 2 – Monday, February 16, 2026 – New residents sign up for Station at Mill Point (Starting at 9am until 4pm or until full)
  • Day 3 – Wednesday, February 18, 2026 – Current residents who wish to return/renew to Park Place (9am-4pm)
  • Day 4 – Friday, February 20, 2026 – New residents sign up for Park Place (Starting at 9am until 4pm or until full)
  • Day 5 – Monday, February 23, 2026 – Current residents who wish to return/renew Oaks, Crest (10-month lease), and Danieley apartment and residence hall spaces (9am-4pm)
  • Day 6 – Wednesday, February 25, 2026 – Rising Junior and Seniors select apartment and residence hall spaces until cap is reached (9am-4pm)
  • Day 6: Part 2 – Junior/Senior Remaining Spaces for Individuals from 4pm-5pm, for this process, students will not need to fully roommate match or fill the space and will be able to select a remaining bed space that was not selected in our earlier process, until cap is reached

Sorority and Fraternity (Loy Center) Housing Selection

The individual chapters will select the members who will live in the house and their respective housing assignments. If interested in this process, students should contact their chapter leadership for additional information.

  • Wednesday, February 11, 2026 – Sorority House Rosters Due
  • Friday, February 13, 2026 – House Manager applications available on Phoenix Connect
  • Thursday, February 19, 2026 – Fraternity House Rosters Due
  • Monday, March 2, 2026 – Loy Center housing assignment confirmation email and assignment visible on Self Service
  • Monday, March 2, 2026 – House Manager Applications Due
  • Thursday, March 5 & Friday, March 6, 2026 – House Manager Interview Days

Rising Sophomore Housing Selection

  • Tuesday, March 3, 2026 – Selection times for rising Sophomores for all upcoming selection process are released. Selection times are randomly assigned to all students who apply by the deadline.
  • Day 1 – Thursday, March 12, 2026 – Rising Sophomores Sign Up for Danieley Flats-Groups of 8 only (Starting at 9am)
  • Day 2 – Monday, March 16, 2026 – Rising Sophomores Sign Up for Apartments (Starting at 9am-4pm, or until full)
  • Day 3 – Wednesday, March 18, 2026 – Rising Sophomores Sign Up for Residence Halls (Colonnades, Global), remaining Danieley Flats spaces, 9am-4pm for students that can fully fill any of our open spaces

Residency Exemption (approval to live off-campus for rising Sophomores):

  • NOTE: All Sophomores should plan to select a room in the timeline above even if seeking a residency exemption. Residency Exemptions may or may not take place based on availability.
  • Monday, March 30, 2026 – Sophomore Residency Exemption Applications Opens
  • Monday, April 6, 2026 – Sophomore Residency Exemption Application Closes
  • Monday, April 13, 2026 – Sophomore Residency Decisions Sent
