ElonComm Student Ambassador Program

An Elon student talks to other students.

The School of Communications student ambassadors assist with facilities tours, staff admissions events, join recruiting efforts at national conferences, identify award-winning high school students, assist with educational workshops, mentor, and perform other outreach efforts. Students interested in becoming ambassadors must be current first-year students, sophomores or juniors with a minimum 3.0 GPA and a School of Communications major (though current sophomores and juniors are preferred). They also must have demonstrated involvement or leadership in a student media or School of Communications organization, as well as strong public speaking and writing skills.

Hiring for the program occurs during the spring semester for the proceeding academic year. Interested students should complete the application below. Qualified candidates will participate in an in-person interview with Colin Donohue, who oversees the student ambassadors program and serves as the school’s director student engagement and special projects and an assistant professor of journalism, and current ambassadors. The position pays an hourly rate.

Questions? Contact Donohue at cdonohue@elon.edu or 336-278-5850.
