The Truitt Center provides spiritual care, worship opportunities, and supportive community engagement for students and community members. We seek to create spaces and relationships to engage, educate, empower, and encourage our Elon University community.

Scope of Practice/Boundaries of Practice

The Truitt Center for Religious and Spiritual Life supports the religious, spiritual, and ethical life and identities of the Elon community as they explore meaning, purpose, and belonging.

We provide spiritual care and worship for the Elon community; convene community members for gatherings, cultural programs, celebrations and faith-based practice; mentor and develop student leaders, provide education that furthers religious literacy, builds cultural competency, and strengthens life skills, and fundraise to sustain the viability and growth of our work.

Our work complements, but does not replace clinical counseling services, therapy, or career counseling services. We connect community members with appropriate campus and community resources for holistic support as needed.
