Communication design majors shape the visual world

The design of media and communication messages is important in a visual world. These messages may involve the design of print publications, advertisements, and websites or mobile media.

A Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Communication Design requires 52 credit hours in Communications, plus GST 115 Public Speaking (2 hours), ART 112 Fundamentals of Design (4 hours) and ART 260 Introduction to Intermedia and Photography (4 hours). Students must complete a minimum of 72 credit hours outside of Communications, including an academic minor or double major or a semester abroad in an Elon-approved program.
