For Employers

Turn to Elon Law to Meet Your Hiring Needs
The Office of Career & Student Development at Elon Law helps you with your recruitment needs by connecting you with knowledgeable and passionate students and alumni. All recruitment efforts are arranged and managed by the Office of Career & Student Development at no cost to you. “Pathways” is the job posting board we use for most of our services. Those with existing Pathways accounts can log in here; if you’re new to working with Elon Law, register for an account here. If you need assistance with any of our services below, please contact Kristen Covington (kcovington4@elon.edu) or email lawcareers@elon.edu.
We Offer the Following Services at No Cost to You
On-Campus Interviews: We invite employers to schedule a visit to interview law students seeking summer or entry level positions. We are centrally located in downtown Greensboro, North Carolina, and interviews may be coordinated with visits to other North Carolina law schools. We will post your position and collect the requested documents. You will receive a resume packet before your visit, and we will set up interviews based on your prescreened selections. You may schedule an OCI on Pathways.
Video Conferences: For your convenience, we can arrange to set up a videoconference interview so that you may interview our students from your own offices.
Resume Collection: We will post your position, collect the requested documents, and send you a resume packet. We can assist you in scheduling student interviews in your office. You may schedule a Resume Collection on Pathways.
Post a Job: We will post your employment opportunity on Pathways and students will contact you directly.
Other Ways to Connect and Support Elon Law Students

Sponsor a Coffee & Conversation: Elon Law offers weekly Coffee & Conversation events that can be sponsored by employers. These half-hour events are a great way to meet and engage with our students over various treats accompanied by coffee and tea. We would love for you to participate – for more information about hosting opportunities, contact Elon Law Event Coordinator Delia Rhodes at drhodes4@elon.edu or 336-279-9208.
Residencies and Externships: In our signature Residency-in-Practice Program, second-year law students work 32-36 hours a week over a 10-week trimester with their judge or attorney supervisor and a faculty member to create and implement a learning plan that develops an increased proficiency in professional legal skills and in an area of law practice.
Students also have the option to complete an externship for academic credit, either before or after their Residency-in-Practice. Students who complete an externship engage in a substantial lawyering experience reasonably similar to the experience of a lawyer advising or representing a client or engaging in other lawyering tasks, under the supervision of an attorney or judge. An externship takes place part-time, either in the summer or during a non-Residency trimester. Students arrange their own externship in consultation with the externship director. Questions about Elon Law’s Residency-in-Practice Program and externships may contact Associate Professor Katherene Conner, Director of Residencies, at kconner2@elon.edu or 336-279-9311.
