Elon Law accepts applications for visiting students to its Full Time (Greensboro) campus from other ABA-accredited schools. (Note: The Flex/Part Time (Charlotte) program is not accepting applications from visiting students.) Visiting students should apply through Elon Law’s standard application online and check the visiting student application box on the application.

Visiting students must have the permission of their home law school and must be in good academic standing there. They are limited to one year in residence at Elon. Visiting students will receive their law degrees from their home law school and will not be eligible for an Elon law degree. In addition to complying with the general admission procedures, a visiting student applicant must submit a letter of good standing and permission to visit and a transcript from their current law school, one of which should indicate the applicant’s current class rank.

Visiting students are expected to adhere (1) to the requirements and standards of their home institution; and (2) to the academic and other standards specified in the Law School Academic CatalogHonor Code, and other official documents of the Elon University School of Law.

Students requiring financial assistance should contact the Financial Aid Office at their home schools and/or the Office of Financial Aid at the Elon University for assistance and application materials. Students who have been approved for visiting status at Elon should seek the advice of the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs to complete registration.

Visiting students are expected to return to their home institution.

International applicants must comply with additional application requirements for consideration to attend Elon Law as visiting students. Details about the additional requirements of application for all international applicants to Elon Law can be found on the international applicant page.

For those considering transfer from another law school to Elon Law to earn a Juris Doctor degree, visit the transfer applicant page for application information.
