Engineering Fellows is a selective merit-based program for students in Elon’s four-year engineering or computer science programs. Fellows are challenged to design, prototype and test potential solutions to the complex problems facing our world today. Learn more about Engineering and Computing Fellows on the program website.
Program Highlights
Engineering and Computing Fellows join a community of highly motivated students across engineering and computer science, including peer mentoring and community building activities. Fellows will have the opportunity to pursue additional research or leadership training, giving them special preparation for their future careers.
Who should apply?
Students who plan to pursue a four-year engineering or computer science degree and have a GPA of 3.8 or higher should apply. Forty academically talented students are selected based on their high school academic performance, scholarship essay prompt on the first-year application and a faculty interview. Apply to Elon University Early Decision, Early Action or Regular Deadline by November 1 and to Engineering Fellows by Nov. 10.
Scholarships
All 40 Engineering and Computing Fellows receive a $8,000 scholarship, renewable annually based on academic performance and program participation. Students can also apply for additional funds to support their research. Each student also receives a one-time $1,000 Global Study grant for a university-approved study abroad or Study USA experience.
