Description

Health Sciences LLC Sticker

The Health Sciences Living-Learning Community (LLC) is intended for first and second year students majoring in the health sciences (nursing, public health, etc.). The goal of this community is to create an environment where first year and sophomore students can successfully acclimate and navigate the rigors associated with the health sciences curriculum by interacting with upper class students and faculty. Students will have the opportunity to develop meaningful friendships, support systems, study groups, and mentorship with other health science students and faculty through involvement in LLC activities.

Students in the Health Sciences LLC will also have the ability to interact through intentional
programming with upper class students through inter-professional workshops, activities, and dinners throughout the academic year. Upper-class students will have the opportunity to develop leadership and peer mentoring skills through application to become Peer Mentors for ELN 1010 and Resident Advisor positions as well as peer tutoring opportunities. First and second year students will be exposed to these opportunities from their first experiences on campus and throughout their time living in the LLC.
