Full-Time Campus Assignment Policy
Full-Time Campus Options
Applicants selecting the Full-Time Program will be prompted to indicate their campus preference by selecting one of the following options:
- Greensboro (GSO)
- Charlotte (CLT)
- Either Location (No Preference)
Full-Time Campus Preference Explanation
In addition to selecting a preference, applicants will be required to submit a brief short-answer response explaining the reasoning behind their selection and any factors influencing their preference.
Examples may include:
- Geographic proximity
- Employment considerations
- Family obligations
- Housing arrangements
- Other personal circumstances
This information will assist the admissions team in making informed placement decisions.
Campus Assignment Policy
The admissions team will make every effort to match admitted students with their stated campus preference. However, campus placement cannot be guaranteed due to enrollment capacity limitations and class composition needs.
Applicants who indicate that they are willing to attend either campus may be assigned to either Greensboro or Charlotte based on available seats and enrollment priorities.
Review of Strong Campus Preferences
Admissions staff will review applicant responses for indications of a particularly strong or non-negotiable campus preference.
If an applicant is being considered for placement at a campus other than their preferred location and their response suggests a strong commitment to a specific campus, the admissions team will contact the applicant prior to placement via phone call or email.
During this communication, the applicant will be asked whether they are willing to accept a seat at the alternate campus.
If the applicant agrees:
- The applicant may be placed at the alternate campus.
If the applicant declines:
- The applicant will be placed on the waitlist for their preferred campus location.
- No seat will be held at the alternate campus.
This process helps ensure applicants have clarity regarding placement expectations while preserving opportunities for applicants with location-specific needs.
Relocation Request Process
The admissions office will maintain a Relocation Request Form for admitted students who wish to request reassignment to a different campus after initial placement.
Requests will be reviewed based on:
- Available capacity at the requested campus
- Timing of the request
- Enrollment management considerations
Submission of a relocation request does not guarantee approval. Requests will be considered on a space-available basis. Additionally, there is no guarantee that students can transfer between campuses once they have matriculated.
