A.B.L.E. is  a community for Elon students living with any disability issues, a resource center for assisting students to bridge the gap between the equity issues in classroom settings, and a safe place for any and all Elon members to get help when needed.

A.B.L.E stands for the larger goals of the group:

  • A: affirm different brains and bodies within the Elon community and create access and opportunities.
  • B: battle disability bias both in the school culture as well as the legal community as a whole.
  • L: learn from others with different and diverse abilities to create an accepting and functional learning environment for all Elon students.
  • E: empower students of all abilities, with any disability — physical, mental, emotional, seen or unseen; to create a safe space amongst
    members.
