Elon Law honors alumni who have made significant contributions to their profession and brought honor to the school and to Elon, and who have demonstrated outstanding service and leadership. Recipients are selected by Elon Law and invited to a program in their honor.

The awards are:

  • The George R. Johnson, Jr. Professional Achievement Award: Named in honor of the law school’s second dean and member of the founding faculty, the award recognizes Elon Law alumni who have made significant professional contributions while bringing honor and recognition to Elon University School of Law.
  • The F. Leary Davis Service and Leadership in the Community Award: Named in honor of the law school’s late founding dean, this award is presented to an alumnus of the law school who has demonstrated outstanding service and leadership to the community, state or nation.
  • The Distinguished Service to Elon Law School Award: Presented to an alumnus who has demonstrate continued exemplary service to the law school.
  • The Young Alumni Award: Recognizes an alumnus with outstanding professional and service achievements who has graduated within the last five years.

The inaugural School of Law Alumni Awards were given in spring 2014.
