Student Care and Outreach

Student Care and Outreach is part of the comprehensive wellness services. Staff are available to provide guidance regarding university support resources and other processes to assist in student success. Other campus resources for support include Counseling Services, the chaplains in the Truitt Center for Religious and Spiritual Life, and the Koenigsberger Learning Center. To schedule an appointment with a counselor, please call (336) 278-7280 during business hours; if you have an after-hours or weekend crisis or emergency, you may contact the crisis counselor on call at (336) 278-2222.

Emergency Response

The Student Life Emergency Response System is available to respond to all student emergency/crisis concerns, including incidents that occur on evenings, weekends, and over breaks.

If a situation is not a medical or psychological emergency, but immediate administrative or clinical support is needed, please call Campus Safety and Police at (336) 278-5555 to reach the on-call staff. Campus Safety and Police will dispatch the most appropriate staff member for response.
