Scholarships & Program Benefits

MIchael The Business Fellows program blends classroom learning and real-world experience to prepare you for the world of business, nonprofits or government. You and your classmates will learn how to work as a highly effective team, completing coursework and collaborating on consulting projects and other assignments.

If you plan to major in business administration, economics or accounting, consider the opportunities you will have as a Business Fellow:

  • Take one course each semester offered exclusively to Business Fellows, taught by leading teacher-scholars in Elon's AACSB internationally accredited Martha and Spencer Love School of Business.
  • Explore what it takes to be a successful organization through site visits to area corporations during your first year.
  • Get a head start on the job market with special courses that emphasize responsible business leadership while preparing you for your job or internship search.
  • Work as a consultant or help manage a financial services firm during your senior year -- research financial products and design a marketing campaign, write regular investment newsletters and manage a portfolio of securities.
  • Study abroad with your Business Fellow classmates during your first Winter Term. Recently, Fellows have visited Poland and Mexico to gain valuable insights on new and emerging economies.

Who should apply?
Applicants should have at least a 3.5 GPA, SATs of 1850 or more (ACT 28 or higher), sharp analytical skills and a strong interest in majoring in business administration, economics or accounting.

Twenty-five Business Fellows will be selected annually based on academic criteria, business interest and experience, essays and interviews.
